What is Uncorked?

Eat, drink, and be charitable! Combine your love for wine and good food with your passion for a good cause and desire to mix and mingle with old and new friends--all in a fun, casual social setting.

Our next event will take place on Thursday, March 22nd at City Club Baton Rouge featuring Cabernet Sauvignon and benefiting our very own Forum 35! Come celebrate our 10th anniversary of hosting Uncorked! Click here to buy tickets!

How does it work?

At each event, a different wine varietal is highlighted. Invitees are encouraged to form teams of up to 3 members and participate in the competition or simply come and enjoy the wine and atmosphere. Each team selects and purchases three identical bottles of its favorite wine within the featured varietal to present. Two bottles are bagged, tagged, and offered for blind tasting and scoring. The third bottles will go into the winner's "pot." At the conclusion of the festivities, the scores are tallied, the winners are recognized and awarded the "pot” to split, while the lowest scoring wine is returned to its rightful owner to take home.

Who started it?

Pete Bush • Doug Cochran • Edmund Giering •  Doug Allen • Patrick Coogan  • Luke Williamson • Miles Higgins

These guys love Baton Rouge and they also love wine! From this base, Uncorked was born. Their goal is to provide young professionals an opportunity to enjoy good wine and "pass a good time” while supporting a local charity.

But why?

Because wine tasting with Forum 35 is such a great time! But more importantly, your participation makes an impact. All proceeds from Uncorked events benefit the chosen charity organizations, who play an integral role in the event. Want to suggest a charity to benefit at our next Uncorked event? Join the committee or complete our Charity Application Form.
