Service Member of the Month Spotlight: Coleman Cormier

Posted By Administration, Wednesday, May 30, 2018

As one of Forum 35’s core pillars, Service is important to us. We’re dedicated to giving back and improving Baton Rouge through service projects and volunteer opportunities. Each month, we feature an actively involved Service Committee member who goes above and beyond and is committed to making a larger impact on our community.

This month we sat down with Coleman Cormier of Acadian Chiropractic & Wellness. After joining Forum 35, Coleman quickly found a love for Service and has jumped in anywhere possible, including working a 6 AM Saturday shift for Blues Festival 2018! New to Baton Rouge and Forum 35, we found out what brought Coleman to the area and why he chose to get involved with the organization.

When did you join Forum 35?

I joined in February 2018.

Why did you choose to get involved with Service?

I chose the Service Committee because I want to help improve my community and be part of its growth to create a better future for our city.

What has been your favorite thing about Forum 35 since joining?

I enjoy Forum 35 because the organization is full of wonderful and dedicated people who work hard to improve their own lives and the lives of others.

Where is your hometown and how did you end up in Baton Rouge?

I was raised in Bossier City, La, but I moved to Thibodaux, La to attend Nicholls States University in 2005. After graduating, I moved to Port Orange, Florida for chiropractic college. After graduating, I moved back to Thibodaux, La and worked in Houma, La for two and half years. I then moved to Gonzales to open my own practice in our state capital.

What's your favorite thing about Baton Rouge?

I love the people, the culture, and the dedication we all share for a better tomorrow.

Tell us a little about your profession and what you do.

I am a chiropractic physician. I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of the human neuromusculoskeletal system. I treat everything from headaches, disc herniations, carpal tunnel, whiplash injuries, knee pain, and plantar fasciitis. I use a variety of techniques and methods to improve my patient's quality of life. I also strive to educate my patients and enable them to maintain their bodies and improve longevity.

Do you have any hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, competitive shooting, and hunting.

What are you most looking forward to while being a part of Forum 35?

I look forward to creating life-long friendships and creating a better future for our city.
