Forum 35 has many initiatives and events throughout the year. All committee meetings are open to the public, so we invite you to drop in and find your passion!

 

Membership

 

New to Forum or interested in jumping in but don't know where to start? Stop by one of our monthly New Member Meet Up sessions, held on the second Sunday of each month at Brew Ha Ha on Jefferson Hwy, 4:00 - 5:30 PM. Talk to current members about the organiztion, get answers to your questions, and find your path in Forum 35. Contact membership@forum35.org for more info.


Arts & Culture

 

Art Flow
Launched in 2019 in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Art Flow is a juried art exhibition celebrating Louisiana artists in the Capital City. This interactive art event features artists' entries at premium and participating venues throughout downtown Baton Rouge. Chair: Jessica Trepagnier, trepagnier@forum35.org

 

One Book One Community

In partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, the One Book One Community initiative aims to use a common and compelling reading experience to inspire thought-provoking dialogue among readers, increase visibility of issues relevant to the community, and raise awareness of literacy issues within our area. Diversity 

 

Diversity
The cultural diversity initiative strives to help build a Forum 35 that represents the community we live in. This is done by promoting dialogue, discussion, and activities that expose our current membership to Baton Rouge's rich and diverse culture. Chair: Gabrielle Roussel, gabrielle@forum35.org



Leadership 

 

Forum Friday 
Forum Friday is our monthly membership luncheon featuring a local speaker addressing issues specifically targeted to the needs and concerns of Baton Rouge-area young professionals and leaders. Chair: Luke Breard, friday@forum35.org    

John W. Barton, Sr. Community Leadership Development Program
This program enables members to develop their leadership skills for community board service while promoting community involvement and volunteerism in Baton Rouge. Chair: Ethan Melancon, barton@forum35.org 

 

Leadership Hour

Leadership Hour comprises quarterly, hour-long training sessions designed to teach skills and offer time for discussion around issues to strengthen leadership qualities. These qualities will help position our membership for growth within their Forum 35 role and everyday life. Chair: Kylee Arnold, leadership@forum35.org

 

 

Service

 

Uncorked
Young professionals couple their love for wine, their passion for a good cause and their desire to mix and mingle with like-minded people in a fun, casual social setting. uncorked@forum35.org 

Service Committee
The service committee brings new ideas and discusses projects and volunteer opportunities to offer members and coordinates our involvement in the activities. Anyone can volunteer! Chair: De'Vannon Hubert, service@forum35.org

 

Public Education Project

Forum 35’s Public Education Project (PEP) is for those passionate about supporting education initiatives in Baton Rouge. The purpose of the committee is to partner with one school each school year in order to support opportunities to enhance the school environment and provide resources and opportunities for students. Chair: Olivia Ohlsen, pep@forum35.org

 

 

Communications

Would you like to get more experience in the Marketing and/or Communications field? Then Forum 35's Communications Committee is perfect for you! This committee handles all internal and external communications, marketing, and advertising needs for the organization. Whether you're interested in learning more about email marketing, social media copywriting, content management, public relations, and/or advertising, there's a place for you.

Development

Interested in learning more about corporate partnerships and how to get involved with managing those accounts? The Development Committee is the place for you. Chair: Gregory Pogue, development@forum35.org

 

Socials

Forum 35 hosts bi-monthly socials to celebrate its members and the accomplishments of the organization as well as to foster networking among our membership. Chairs: Rachel LaPorte and Alana Adams, social@forum35.org
